Jane Mackenzie Director, BSP
The British Study Partnership was founded in 2002, the brainchild of Jane MacKenzie, its Director, in association with a small group of Colleges who felt they could work together to improve their services to international students. Eleven years on, the organisation has grown to represent nearly 50 UK Universities and Colleges. We work with governments, schools and employers throughout the Arabian Gulf and China, and have links throughout the Indian Ocean, including Mauritius.
The British Study Partnership advises its UK partners on the needs of the Arabian Gulf and other parts of the world. For our Gulf partners, we offer a highly valued advisory service, and have negotiated some important agreements between the Arab world and UK education. Most recently we have facilitated approval by some key UK Universities of College foundation programmes in Qatar.
The Partnership works closely with the British Council to advance the profile of UK education throughout the world. Our staff spend many weeks each year ‘on the road’, working hands-on with teachers and students in schools, with HR departments in companies like Saudi Aramco and Chevron Oil, and with government departments like the Ministry of Education of Bahrain. In Qatar we work with sponsors like the Qatar Olympic Committee, Qatar Airways, Ashgal (Public Works Authority) along with educational establishments, College of the North Atlantic, the Academic Bridge Program, Community College Qatar, and many secondary schools.
You can meet our team throughout the world. To discover when we will next visit your country, please complete our enquiry form or email firstname.lastname@example.org
